"Bernarda" is a new one-man theatrical text rewritten by Pelin Temur based on Federico Garcia Lorca's famous play "The House of Bernarda Alba". Bernarda creates a small model of all the oppressive regimes we know, with the authority she established by declaring domestic mourning. We see the sexist pressure exerted by "Authority" on female identity with the striking performance of Özge Arslan, who plays 5 different women on the stage.
The play is presented to the audience with examples of Fandangos and Flamenco sung live.
